2022 NH Senior Games, presented by Martin’s Point Health Care, celebrates 35th year

For the love of sport! 2022 NH Senior Games, presented by Martin’s Point Health Care, celebrates 35th year; registration now open.   Manchester, NH:        (March 14, 2022)        In support of healthy aging, the New Hampshire Senior Games (NHSG) is pleased to announce that registration for the 2022 Games is now open.  Supporting the organization’s effort to promote health and wellness among older adults is Martin’s Point Health Care, which is serving as the games major sponsor for the fourth straight year.   “We’re excited to kick off our 35th year of providing healthy competition to older adults,” said Glenn Graham, Chairman of the Games. “2022 promises to be a momentous year of fitness and fun!”   Graham thanked and saluted Martin’s Point Health Care for their long-time support of the games. “They’ve been a wonderful partner in wellness, and we are very grateful for their amazing support,” he said.  … Download PDF

Registration Now Open for New Hampshire Senior Games! 2018 Marks 31st Year of Healthy Competition

The New Hampshire Senior Games is pleased to announce that registration for the 2018 games is now open. “We’re excited to announce that we are now accepting registrations for the 2018 New Hampshire Senior Games,” said Jim Eddinger, Board Chair for the New Hampshire Senior Games.  “Starting later this month with our Candlepin Bowling Tournament and ending on Labor Day with a 5k road race, we’ll be offering 17 different events throughout New Hampshire over the next three months.”  Now celebrating its 31st year, the games provide a blend of competitive sports and social interactions for active older adults. 2017 NHSG Badminton Tournament features strong performances from area athletes New London, NH: Hard fought rallies on the singles, doubles and mixed doubles courts highlighted the 2017 New Hampshire Senior Games Annual Badminton Tournament, held recently at Colby-Sawyer College. “I enjoy all aspects of the sport,” said Wicky Chan of Nashua.  The 53-year old plays regularly in a club in Massachusetts and looks for competitive events outside of his regular playing group.  “This is a wonderful tournament,” he said.  “There are some excellent players here and it’s been fun to meet people and compete.” Mr. Chan’s doubles partner, Larry Lo of Westwood, MA, shared that he plays for exercise and the competition.  “It really is a fun game,” he said.  “I like the strategy of the sport.  Many times, you are thinking several shots ahead with the goal of getting your opponent out of position so you can win the… READ MORE >
