About The Games

The NHSG is a group of sports and events that are contested by individuals and teams for competitive fun and for staying fit, healthy and meeting new friends. While the NH Senior Games are held every year, in even-numbered years you can also qualify to compete in the National Senior Games, held every odd-numbered year.  This year's games will serve as a qualifier for the 2023 National Games held in Pittsburgh, PA.

We provide 20 sports and events.  In recent years, we've added the fast-growing sports of disc golf and cornhole.  Please view our website for a complete list at https://nhseniorgames.org/sports/.

The games are held at various locations throughout NH. Thanks to a unique partnership with the Maine Senior Games, we’re proud to invite NH athletes to compete in two sports (Road Race and Cycling) in Maine. Please visit our web site https://nhseniorgames.org/schedule/ to view the schedule, details and location for your sport or event.

Our state games are held starting in May and concluding in mid-September. Please visit our web site and click on SCHEDULE to make sure you won't miss your favorite sports.

Participation

Anyone who is age 40+ (35+ for Tracck & Field) by December 31 of the year of participation is eligible for our games. A few of our sports are 50+ because of high demand. No matter what sport, only those athletes age 50+ are eligible to qualify for the National Games. The minimum age for team sports is 50 years of age. The NH Senior Games are open to out of state and international residents.

No, our sports and events are all open to all levels. Elite, recreational and first-time amateur athletes are all welcome!

State Senior Games in even-numbered years serve as a qualifier for the National Senior Games in the following odd-numbered year. State games in odd-numbered years are designated as "non-qualifying year" games.

All 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers will receive a medal in the sport or event that is being contested.
