Healthy support for senior wellness
Lamprey Health Care serving as sponsor of 2017 NH Senior Games
Nashua, NH: The New Hampshire Senior Games (NHSG) and Lamprey Health Care are pleased to announce an innovative partnership in support of the 2017 New Hampshire Senior Games.
“We’re pleased to be part of the 2017 games,” said Gregory White, CEO, Lamprey Health Care. “The games support healthy competition and social interaction for older adults across our state. This focus on health and wellness is very much in alignment with Lamprey’s work across the communities we serve.”
Mr. White explained that in addition to sponsoring the games, Lamprey Health Care will be hosting a free wellness information table at the Senior Games 3-3 on Basketball Tournament on Saturday, August 5 at the Plaistow YMCA. From 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., athletes, family members and YMCA members are invited to visit the table to pick up free health information and giveaways.
“Supporting community health and wellness is a key part of our mission,” said Carrie Chooljian, Care Manager at Lamprey Health Care. “We will also have a Community Health Worker on hand at the event to answer questions about our services and programs.”
“This is a wonderful collaboration,” said Chris Dugan, Director of Communications, New Hampshire Senior Games. “Our sponsors provide valuable support and we’re thrilled to welcome Lamprey Health Care aboard.” Mr. Dugan said the basketball tournament will include more than 75 players from NH and through New England.
Now celebrating its 30th year, the New Hampshire games offer 15 sports- primarily competed Friday-Sunday-from late June through Labor Day. In addition to swimming and 3-3 basketball, events include track and field, pickleball, tennis and archery. All events are open to athletes ages 40 and over.
