Registration Now Open for New Hampshire Senior Games! 2018 Marks 31st Year of Healthy Competition
The New Hampshire Senior Games is pleased to announce that registration for the 2018 games is now open.
“We’re excited to announce that we are now accepting registrations for the 2018 New Hampshire Senior Games,” said Jim Eddinger, Board Chair for the New Hampshire Senior Games. “Starting later this month with our Candlepin Bowling Tournament and ending on Labor Day with a 5k road race, we’ll be offering 17 different events throughout New Hampshire over the next three months.”
Now celebrating its 31st year, the games provide a blend of competitive sports and social interactions for active older adults. Mr. Eddinger said that over the years, thousands of athletes from New Hampshire and throughout New England have taken part. “Our slogan - ‘where fun and fitness meet’- truly embodies the spirit of the games,” he said. “Whether one is a competitive athlete or trying a sport for the first time, we offer something for everyone.”
For the most part, the games are held each Friday – Sunday from late June through Labor Day. The games offer individual sports, doubles competition in sports such as tennis and pickleball, and three on three basketball. The games are open to age groups 40- 44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89 and 90+.
